Professors Bhuvnesh Jain and Michael Weisberg come to the study of dark matter from different disciplines. Jain, co-director of Penn's Center for Particle Cosmology, is an expert in cosmology and gravitational lensing, while Weisberg is a philosopher and filmmaker. At a Knowledge by the Slice lecture, part of a lunchtime series that offers topical talks by insightful faculty experts, Jain and Weisberg discussed what it means to pursue this mystery and screened a rough cut of Weisberg’s new documentary about searching for dark matter using some of the world’s largest telescopes.
